A community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving maternal and child health outcomes for Medicaid-eligible pregnant women and families in Milwaukee County.

Our mission is to reduce infant mortality and low birth weight rates by providing early engagement, culturally responsive care, and trauma-informed, family-centered support. We meet families where they are—emotionally, culturally, and socially—while helping them navigate systems of care with dignity and trust.

What Sets Us Apart?

Trained Community Health Workers (CHWs) & Doulas

Our services are delivered by professionally trained CHWs and Doulas who provide high-quality, evidence-based, and compassionate support.

Community Health Workers (CHWs) provide:

  • Care coordination and case management
  • Advocacy and systems navigation
  • Connection to medical, social, and community resources
  • Ongoing follow-up to reduce barriers to care

Doulas provide:

  • Emotional, physical, and informational support
  • Continuous care before, during, and after childbirth
  • Advocacy during labor and delivery
  • Postpartum education and support

Together, CHWs and Doulas play a critical role in reducing stress, improving engagement, and supporting healthier birth outcomes, especially for families experiencing systemic barriers.

Fatherhood & Family Engagement Curriculum

We believe healthy families start with shared responsibility and strong support systems.

Our fatherhood programming:

  • Engages fathers and partners in prenatal and parenting education
  • Promotes responsible fatherhood and positive co-parenting
  • Builds skills in communication, emotional support, and family wellness
  • Strengthens family stability and long-term outcomes for children
